April 27th ResourceFULL Black Businesses

On April 27th 2017, MABEE will make $1,000 - $5,000 grants to Black businesses that sign up for a business needs survey during the networking event.

There is no shortage of brilliant enterprising Black minds with the seeds of success. There is no lack of ambition or drive to reach new heights of self sufficiency in our communities. Black communities have ALL of the ingredients necessary to thrive in an entrepreneurial economy. Still Black business owners are in the minority, and Black household income is among the lowest in Madison. WHY?!

Even though the resources are there, we seem to lack a connection to them; and even though there are hundreds of local Black businesses, we don't know about them, and don't patronize them.

ResourceFULL Black Businesses is bridging the gap between Black business needs and resources. We're connecting Black entrepreneurs to each other and to the funding, expertise and mentoring they need to reach the next level in their business.

We hope to see you there.

We will only thrive if we work together and support each other. That's why Madison Alliance for Black Economic Empowerment is inviting you to our ResourceFULL Black Businesses event where we'll grant up to $10,000 total to Black businesses in attendance, connect our businesses to each other AND to valuable resources through our HIVE Networking Activity.

MABEE (Mah-Bee) is revamping last year's Business Resource Workshop to host ResourceFULL Black Businesses in a networking event that will have lasting impacts with your support.

More Details:

Black businesses in Madison fail at an alarming rate. You may know of the struggles to find patrons, to overcome hurtles and locate resources. There is no shortage of brilliant enterprising Black minds with the seeds of success. There is no lack of ambition or drive to reach new heights of self sufficiency in our communities. Black communities have ALL of the ingredients necessary to thrive in our economy. Still Black business owners are few, and Black household income is among the lowest in Madison.

Even though the resources are all around us, we seem to lack a connection to them; and even though there are hundreds of local Black businesses, we don't know about them, and don't patronize them.

ResourceFULL Black Businesses is bridging the gap between Black business needs and resources. We're connecting Black entrepreneurs to each other and to the funding, expertise and mentoring they need to reach the next level in their business.

We'll have resources in the house:

MadREP, Synergy Coworking, Wisconsin Procurement Institute, Latino Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, Small Business Administration, 100 State, Market Ready, Madison Cooperative Development Coalition, and more.

We'll have good food from Black businesses.

We'll have connection:

The HIVE Networking Activity is designed to get participants strategically connected to each other in real, substantial and meaningful ways. It helps businesses gain exposure and is our way of scheduling Business Needs Surveys to help connect our businesses to the resources they need.

On April 27th 2017, MABEE (Mah-Bee) will grant a total of $10,000.00 to Black businesses that sign up for a business needs survey during the networking event.

Please join us. Please spread the word. We hope to see you there.
