MABEE and CWD Partner to Feature Black Vendors at Central Park Sessions!

Dear MABEE Community,

This August, MABEE partnered with Common Wealth Development to help feature Black business vendors at Madison’s Central Park Sessions. It was a great experience for the selected entrepreneurs, and it helped expand the reach and opportunity of Madison’s Black business community!

Here’s what some of the vendors had to say:

Judy Cooper

QB’s Magnetic Creations

“The Central Park Session provided me the opportunity to get in front of people that I normally would not.  Being able to vend allowed me to showcase my product and shine a light on black entrepreneurship that most don't know exist in the Madison area.  In addition to vendors, there was great food and entertainment, which made for a great mix! The Central Park staff was great - they assisted with setup and made sure that I felt welcome - thank you!”

Marilyn Ruffin

One City Schools

“The location of our tent / set up table was positioned perfectly near audience and performing stage. I am hopeful that next year, One City would be positioned to host a children’s area complete with activities for all to enjoy.”

James Bloodsaw

JustVeggiez

“Justveggiez has a wonderful experience at Central Park Session, everyone was helpful to make sure that I was successful. I had a prime location I couldn’t ask for nothing more.  I will like to thank everyone for the opportunity.”
